Who Designs This Cute Merch?
Queer-Inclusive Fashion for Every Body
Ever wonder who’s behind these fabulous queer Pilates-inspired leggings, tanks, and tees? Well, it’s me—Ryen, founder of Queer Pilates, and a fashion designer with 20 years of experience creating clothing for major retailers you’ve definitely shopped at.
I’ve worked for three massive brands found in every mall and even helped launch a fashion-tech startup. I’ve traveled the world, worked with factories, collaborated with designers, and seen the inner workings of the fashion industry. And let me tell you—those big brands were never willing to fully commit to queer bodies, nonbinary fashion, or the silhouettes we actually need.
So I said, F*ck that—I’ll do it myself.
Fashion Designed for Every Gender Expression
As a designer, I know that bodies don’t fit into neat little gender boxes—despite what capitalism (or Jesus) might have to say about it. Some folks have full chests, some have flat chests. Some have outie bits, some have innie bits. Some tuck, some don’t. Some want to highlight certain features, others want a more neutral look.
And while some brands try to make everything unisex, I prefer to call it omnisex—because true inclusivity means designing for different body needs.
✨ That’s why my logo lockup leggings come in three styles, all with the same badass print.
✔ One fit designed for bulges (whether natural or silicone)
✔ One fit designed for flat fronts (whether natural or tucked)
✔ One fit made for plus-size ladies (because NO brand should leave fat babes behind)
Big Baes and Theys absolutely crush personal style, and I’m here to make sure you have gear that actually fits.
Made on Demand = Less Waste, More Sustainability
Since this is a tiny but mighty queer business, I’m using on-demand manufacturing—meaning your order is made just for you when you buy it.
Why? Because:
🌍 It’s way more environmentally sound. Overproduction is a massive problem in fashion, and I refuse to contribute to landfills overflowing with unsold merch.
🌈 It ensures quality. Every item is freshly made, not sitting in a warehouse for months.
💖 It supports small creators instead of mass-producing fast fashion.
But my dream? Scaling up to create a fully from-scratch collection built on these same inclusive values. Because it’s 2025, and we should wear whatever the hell we want.
